Custom information on bill
How do I put custom information on a customer bill? We are implementing cash discount program and I want to write on the bill that there is a 3 percent discount if using cash. The prices right now, to comply with NYS new regulations, have the cc price with the added 3 percent.
Separately is there a way to show the cash price and the cc price on a bill?
Thanks for any guidance

@fitzbar if you are doing a cash discount, I think the best way to do it is to do a straight discount of 3% and apply it to the bill. You have to always have your prices as the prices you charge. You can't add a surcharge. I have seen a restaurant doing what you are asking about showing both totals, but that is a system that they sell just to do cash discounts and I don't know of a way to do that in square, because you are asking it to do a what if.
To put that info on the bill, I would make a 0.00 price item and call it Cash Discount Policy, or whatever and just write in what you want to say in the variation name. Just tap it for each customer and it will print like any other item on the check. You can also edit your receipt template under your account, but the other way is an easy quick way to add it.
