Can Items & Modifiers have different kitchen printer text than what customers see online?

I create Item and Modifying descriptions to maximize customer interest on my online ordering (Weebly) site. These descriptions tend to be verbose (“Imported”, “Italian”, “Organic”, etc.) and my kitchen staff hate them (they just want to see “Sausage”, not “Locally made sausage from our custom recipe”!).

Is there a way to have Items and Modifiers with distinct text for the public vs. kitchen staff (kitchen printers/KDSes)? Thanks.

Unfortunately there's not a way to change what the text says once an order has been sent to the kitchen. I can see how that would be tough to read and sift through for your folks in the kitchen, especially when they're busy.

I can pass this feature request along to our Product team so that they're aware of how this would be beneficial. Thanks for sharing.
