Payment notification emails
You can now receive an email notification when a customer has submitted payment on a checkout link you’ve shared.
To enable email notifications, head to your Online Checkout settings. There are two available notification options you can toggle on or off. The first, Online Checkout, pertains to any links you create and share from the Online Checkout section of your Square dashboard. The second, Send Payment Link and Pay with QR Code, pertains specifically to checkout options you can send from Square Point of Sale.
Subscription updates
New features have been added to give you more flexibility on links where you offer the option to subscribe.
Two new billing cycle frequencies have been added: every other week and twice per year. These are in addition to the already-existing options of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually.
We’ve also added the ability to set links as subscription-only. Previously any links that offered subscriptions also gave the option of a one-time-only payment, without a way to disable it.
To manage your subscriptions and adjust your subscription settings, head to Subscriptions under Online Checkout from your Square dashboard.
Payment status updates on POS
Receive an email notification when a transaction is completed if you use either Send Payment Link or Pay with QR Code from Square Point of Sale. To enable this feature, head to your Online Checkout settings (this is the same setting mentioned above in the Payment notification emails section).
Discounts on POS payment links
If you’re running a sale or have a promotional discount on an item, the discount will now apply to payment links or QR codes you share from Point of Sale. Previously, if an item was discounted, the Send Payment Link and Pay with QR Code options were greyed out.
Head to the Discounts section of your Item Library to create and manage your discounts.
