Terminal printer door issue

I have been using my terminal for several months now. I haven't changed the printer paper, most people don't want a paper receipt. I used it yesterday, I don't drop it, I take good care of it, last night it was saying it was out of paper when it wasn't. I went through a lot of processes only to find out the door was not closing completely, even though it was closed.

I had to gently press against the door for it to actually print and roll out a receipt. It would make printing sounds and then never push the paper up. Upon further inspection it looks like where the door connects and clips on with hinges is a weak area on both the left and right side. If you are having this problem open the door and look very carefully for plastic splitting on the rings on the left and right hinges. They were originally going to charge me $15 for a new door but I asked the lady so, what IS covered in the one year warranty? She went off the line for 2 minutes, came back on and said "we'll send you a new one". She then told me that I would have to pay for the shipping, later I found out through the email, that is not true they send you a shipping prepaid label. But you have to print it out.
