For Subscriptions with long durations, it would be nice to remind subscribers that their subscription will soon be renewing. This affords them the opportunity to cancel before the renewal date.
If a subscription undesirably renews it causes customer dissatisfaction.
If we agree to refund the unexpected renewal, we lose the initial charge fee, are charged additional refund fees and since Canceled Subscriptions are still active, can't really end the Subscription.
The ability to configure a reminder on/off and "days in advance" could be part of the Plan configuration.
It would also be nice to know if the reminder has been viewed by the recipient, similar to the way invoice interaction emails are logged.
