Yearly salary marked as hourly in timecards ($$$!)

Hello.

I'm going on almost 3 weeks of my full-time employees earning the equivalent of their yearly salary on an hourly basis within Square timecards.

We utilize Homebase for timecards and scheduling then import that data into Square for Payroll purposes, but for some reason Square sees it as an hourly rate.

The same day this started, my higher paid staffers also defaulted to the wrong wage rates.

All the settings, per Square's tech support, is correct. At the end of it, they passed the blame over to Homebase. Nothing is wrong on Homebase either so I don't know who else to reach out to about this issue that only shows up in Square and only recently (Everything was fine the last several years.)

Has anyone else encountered this issue or can help point me in the right direction?

Thank you.

@ooneo We use square payroll for timecards and running payroll. So I don't know about homebase but it seems like it could be a bug in the two applications communication. This could have been caused from a small update on either party's systems.

Has the process in which these time cards are imported changed at all? Does it look different in anyway?

I am sorry someone hasn't been able to figure it out for you yet.

Thanks for the response! The process has been the same, and i did confirm with Homebase that nothings changed on their end. The issues started when i noticed that Square threw an error saying some of my staff doesn't have the correct titles (it's never changed.)

My full-timers are pleasantly surprised when checking their Square app and it shows they're earning several million dollars in the last few weeks (it's funny the first couple times, but it is worrisome especially if this is also how Square will start submitting payroll reports back to the government.) And, no, as much as I'd love to pay them that much, this little coffee shop can't afford to. 😄

Sorry to hear about the frustrating experience here, @ooneo! It definitely sounds like something in the integration between Square and Homebase. These types of integrations are built out by the third party, rather than Square, but we can usually still get in touch with our partnerships team to push this from our end, too. If you have a support ticket number from Homebase, please reach back out to our CS team with it via 1-855-700-6000 (Mon - Fri, 6am-6pm Pacific Time), or send us a message here.
