Is there a way to give access without just giving the bookkeeper my login information?

Hey @Don3110. You can set up your bookkeeper as a team member in Square. You can then set up permissions to only give them access to the Square information you want them to have. Once you set them up, they will receive an email for them to set up their own credentials to your Square account and they will use those credentials instead of yours.

You can create a user and give them permissions to access the reports. It's in the Staff tab and then go to teams. You can put in their email and then they can create a password and log in with their email and password.

@Don3110 ;
What exactly is your bookkeeper looking for?
I do my own bookkeeping for my accounting records and then have my accountant look over everything at the end of the year. I just download and import a merged csv file. I download my Transacation.csv and my Transactions Items.csv files. then use excel to merge or append these files to one csv file to import to my accounting software.
The reason I mention this is I know you can setup an employee pin access to different features in Square, but these are for the Square apps on Tablets, Phones or Square Hardware for taking sales and seeing reports. I am not sure if there is a way that a bookkeeper can log in to your Square Dashboard on a computer to download these reports as a csv file to import to their accounting software.
Bookkeepers usually need Inventory on a starting Date, Additions to Inventory on Dates and Dates when Inventory is sold. Square only tracks when Inventory is Sold for dates.
My advice would be to figure out what information your Bookkeeper would need from Square. Then figure out how to export those as csv files to email to them Daily, weekly or monthly as they request. Plus all your other expenses that are required for your business.

@ndixon ;
Thank you for posting this here, I always thought that was just for employees and could only log in on the Square apps not dashboard. This could also Create user permissions to keep others from access to confidential information if they are just staff.
great to know.
