I'm a Christian bookstore owner. We offer a personalization service where we imprint customer names on Bibles. We charge a flat, non-taxable fee for this service of $5 per Bible. If there's more than one Bible, we charge $5 times the number of Bibles imprinted. For this reason, we set the charge up as a "Service" in Square Dashboard instead of as a "Service Charge." (When we set it up as a "Service Charge" we could only apply the charge once per transaction).
This setup has worked fine until we purchased a Square Register for our new storefront.
I'm able to search for and add this "Service" to transactions built in the Retail app and the Square app on my iPhone. I can also search for and add the charge when checking out using "Virtual Terminal" on my computer. But I cannot find or add the service charge when using Square Register.
How can I remedy this?

I would add this as an inventory item, I think that's the only way to get around it- just turn taxes off for the item.
