Scan Barcode than Choose Item

Hi, I am trying to find a way to set up a barcode that when scanned presents multiple items with different prices to select from. Using Varieties and Option Sets doesn't seem to do that.

The easiest way to do that is have the Barcode as a GTIN and have that the Same for the item and Variations that you want to choose from.  Then also use the SKU field with different codes.  This way the you could just scan the SKU to pull up the 1 item, but if your Scan the GTIN you will get a list to choose from.

I kept things simple when I started Here is what I had or similar:

1. My Pumpkin Jars came with a GTIN from the Glass manufacter for the Empty Pumpkin Jar
2. Depending on the Scent the customer wanted I had a SKU of puPatch70 on the Label

So if a customer wanted an empty pumpkin killed with French Vanilla and I did not make it yet to scan I could scan the GTIN for the empty Glass jar and then Scroll to choose French Vanilla for example or any other scent the customer wanted.  Now when I make my season Pumpkin candles, I place a Barcode sku on the stocked items.  Now when a customer brings that to the register I just scan the SKU on the label that states the scent and I do not have to select anything.  My Square stand pulls up the correct Variation and price of the variation.

Thanks. The items I'm scanning do not come with GTINs or barcodes at all. The items are magnets from different manufacturers. We hae four different prices. I'd like to create a barcode that I could put near our scanner, scan it anytime someone purchased a magnet, and then just choose the appropriate price point.

Modifiers and options don't seem to allow for this.

Now I understand more, Create a Barcode magnets, Assign this as a SKU for all your magnets.  When you Scan barcode Magnets at the Register, all your items with SKU magnets pop as a selection.  and you can choose which one your selling.  The other thing you could do is assign each magnet a number 1 thru 4 say, and place 4 barcodes of Magnet 1, 2, 3, and 4.  Then you just scan Barcode 1,2,3,or4 at the checkout.  I have a sheet like that for small items and other quick barcodes when I am not tracking an item.  The hardest part is knowing how to select the correct Vendor or Item if they all have the same SKU or Barcode of Magnets..... Item name would have to be different or Variation would have to be different.  But the vendor is usually assigned to an item not the variation if I remember correctly.  Again using the Same Barcode to scan as a SKU or GTIN will give a warning in square that it is a duplicate and you would not be able to sell this online since the person would choose a Magnet but you would see a list of 4 possibly.  Just a warning to be careful, since I do not use Square to sell online this does not bother me since it helps me for In Store sales.
