Printing Movie theater Tickets

Hello,

I run a movie theater and we sell movie tickets. We Recently got a square register, and I was wondering if there's a way to configure the Register to spit out movie tickets, as well as a receipt? So you can have a ticket stub and have your receipt as well. I see some various options, but was wondered if anyone has done anything like this for a movie theater or event tickets out of a square register? Thanks!

The ability to print event tickets sounds like a great Feature Request, you may want to submit that thought.

You may be able to get creative with the Receipt.  For example, there's a section on the Receipt where you can include Additional Text like a Return Policy and Custom Text.  Maybe repurposing one or both of those fields would work - you would not only have the Receipt but, possibly additional Ticket Info too.   Not exactly what you have in mind but, maybe a possible work around.

Thanks for the idea to submit a thought. I guess it would be nice if you could customize the ticket that comes out. The only problem with having your workaround is it would just say the exact same thing on every receipt, but not change ticket numbers, for instance. Kind of surprising in all the years square has been around this is not an option yet. I feel like it would be easy to implement. So, yeah, maybe I will suggest it. I know you can print an order ticket, but it doesn't show the movie ticket on it. I don't believe.

I just paid $500 AUD for a Star Micronics printer to connect to my square register that doesnt even come with a cable to connect it to anything which is absolutely shameful. On top of that I've just discovered I can't print out ticket stubs for my independent cinema through the Square Register or this expensive piece of cr*p. Thanks for your question, i'm in the same boat and it's shocking that it's not an option to have a customisable ticket stub through square. It's 2024. Sheesh.
