We sell shirts and sweatshirts in our retail store. Currently I have each size and color as an item variation. The problem is in the Square register it shows ALL the different variations as an item, which makes finding the one you want hard. Is there a way to have the items in Square as shirt, once you click it it goes to another screen asking short sleeve, long sleeve, or sweatshirt, then another screen pops up with color choices, then another for size to make the check out process a little easier?

As far as I know you can not do what your asking in Square. The easiest way to do this is to buy a Scanner that connects to your Register. Then each Variation can have a SKU or GTIN number if useing Square for Retail. Then when a customer brings up a Variation you can just scan it and the item is automatically added to the checkout cart. Even with Favorites you can not have a Variation as a Tile just the Category or Item, which would have you back to searching through all your Variations.
What you could do is have a Categories of T-Shirts, Long Sleeve, Sweat Shirts etc.... then have a Sub category of Color or Sizes to make this a little faster, but that would have you redoing your catalog. This is because cullently you have the variations under 1 item.
Best way I know to do this without a scanner is redoing the catalog like:
Category Type of Shirt
Sub Category Color
Sub Sub Category Size
Then Finally the Item
Category T-Shirts
Sub Category Red T-Shirts
Sub Sub Categories Medium Red T-Shirts
Item Medium Red T-shirt of Mountain Sceens
Then on your Point of sale You could setup Favorite Tiles by Category and Sub Category.
This is why I say the best way yourcatalog is setup now is to get a Scanner that is compatible with Square. then use the Barcode on the item as either the GTIN or the SKU field for the Variation.
