Updated iPad and Square app and now cash draw will not open at end of sale

I updated my iPad to 17.4.1 and Square POS to 6.41. 

Now when we do a transaction, enter items, then hit charge to get to next screen. Tap on $20 (cash transaction) for a 16 dollar order. Sale is approved and it then goes to the receipt screen and never opens the draw.  On the receipt screen, if I hit "New Sale" in the upper left corner, it gos back to the checkout screen and opens the draw. Right now I am leaving the draw open.

When I have a cash sale the cash drawer is slow to open, but does eventually open.  I also updated and it was slow before but got worse after the update.
