We need to have a way to turn off Item Sync. On Square Online, Item Sync says:
The following item information is always kept in sync with your Item Library and Point of Sale app. Changes you make to this item information are reflected throughout Square
Item title
Price
Item ID (SKU)
Stock
Options
Modifiers
We need the POS to have different item titles (and photos) than online. The names on the online view will clutter the POS. Please help.

There isn't an option to stop an item sync. A workaround would be to create separate items for online vs. POS, so you can manage the items separately.
You can also manually toggle off the "Where it's sold" feature in Dashboard > Item Library > Click on a specific item. Bulk edits the items' site availability to Unavailable.
I hope one of these workarounds works for now!
