Square POS clock in/out

My square POS just updated to 6.59w from 6.58.3w and now the Clock icon is gone. They really need to have clock function in the Retail app. Buy anyway, my phone has the old version and still has the clock the clock function. The new version it’s gone. And I don’t want my people using their Square Team login because they can do it offsite. Anyone else see this issue?

I just checked my Square Stand and it is updated to 6.59w and still has the clock in icon in the bottom left of my ipad.  Maybe your update happened and missed it, try again and see if it fixes this.

Thank you for the response. Mine used to be on the bottom right. We’ve tried removing the app and reinstalling as well as restarting the iPad but it’s still missing. Support all but chastised me for not being next to the device after being on hold for 55 minutes to talk to someone. He suggested reverting to old version which I would do if I could. But the App Store doesn’t allow that. I’m at a loss. I’m tech savvy and have tried everything I can think of but still no clock.

@Candlestore Thanks for chiming in! That sounds like something that could possibly happen and was my first thought as well. 

 

@Kidsclubmod Is there any way you can try uninstalling and reinstalling the app to see if that does the trick? Let me know if anything changes and I can help dig in further.

Yes, the app was uninstalled and installed multiple times. My phone’s square app also updated last night and the clock in/out function disappeared as well. Finally talked to the 10th agent and he figured it out. 

The solution: in Settings, find Shifts and Team Management under Add-ons. In both of them, turn on the ability to track. Just turning on one won’t work. And it has to happen to each device. I did it on my phone but it didn’t reflect at our terminal until the same steps were done. Seems the new version turned those off cause I know they were on and working before the update.
