I'm baffled. I've had two sales that I know of (but multiple missing items from my inventory) not show up in daily transactions. What is happening? I ring them up, they tap to pay, it says "Sale Completed" on my end, the customer walks out with the product, and then there's no record of it ever happening. I'm thinking this is where all my lost inventory is going but why??? When happened to notice two months ago, I thought it might be because it asked for a signature and the customer and I missed it but yesterday it gave me a completed message. Anybody give some insight and a solution?

I can not give you an answer because I do not know exactly what you are doing.
It sounds as if the transaction has been completed then disappears,
My suggestion is after each payment print out a 2nd receipt for your records.
- The printed receipt would show Type of card and last 4 of the card used
- How the payment was made Countactless for example
- Receipt code to call support on why this disappeard from transactions
- Authorization Code
- All this would be needed to trace the transaction
- Along with the above would also be the amount that was charged or paid.
- Also turn on Automatic receipts, this way if customer does not want it you can throw it in a bucket to look up if a transaction is lost.
This way you would have a Transaction ID to be able to give Square if the transaction vanishes from your records. The other thing could be that missing inventory could be just retail theft. This still does not explain missing transactions.

Same issue. I DO have a printer but the transactions do not show up in my list, therefore I can't print the receipts. It started happening at 12pm noon central time.

Has anyone gotten thru to square support? Dashboard still says fully operational and I can't get thru to anyone for help!

I supposedly started a chat with them 10 mins ago, but so far no one has responded. I'm hoping that maybe they are starting to realize an issue?

this happened once before to us -- it went on for a few hours and I "think" all our sales (a few hundred) ended up getting logged accurately before the end of the day!

I haven't had a card sale since this started but the cash definitely show in my cash drawer.
The strange this, Square says no reports of outages. How do you report this?

I'm having the same issue today. I have no record of previous sales this morning and would not be able to get the transaction information at this point since the customers are long gone! Square????

we are having the same issue here, I've had 4 sales so far, 3 credit card 1 cash and none are showing up in our system.

The “Instant Tranfer” is showing a higher amount then the sales I recorded so I’m pretty confident the sales are processing

Having the same issue here. Pretty bad Square! So many outages and issues like this. And no alerts from Square about the issue. Why do we pay Square so much for horrible customer service?

I am having the same issue. Last transaction in showing 12:03 CST. No transactions are going through, the process completes. I guess luckily it is sending an email to us each time we have a sale. This is a mess, and no response from the chat agent yet.

Same here!! Last registered transaction around 1PM EST., my transactions are not syncing or registering. Both cash and card.. Cash transactions disappear immediately after input. Card transactions are showing as “pending” for customers on their banking sites. Receipts will “send” on my end but are not received by the customer. Switching to cash sales and have lost so much business. Customer service won’t respond. Very disappointed!!
