Pay Now button for Services
I'm newer to Square. I provide energy healing services. I have listed each of my services in the items category under services. I had a client that booked a distant session with me which must be paid upon booking, but there wasn't a pay now button she could click on to pay. How do I set this up?
Also, I'm trying to set up the free weebly website to connect with Square, but it says Square Sync - Service Items not Supported. I'm totally confused.

For your Appointments question, sounds like you might be interested in enabling the Prepayment option so your clients can pay upon booking.
For the issues with syncing your services with the Online Store, I'd reach out to Support so they can help out and escalate to engineering if necessary:

I've been looking for the prepay information, but can't find that. Where would I find it? I find Square very confusing.

Hi @Reiki1
Try checking these steps out:
To enable customer prepayment from your online Appointments Dashboard:
- Visit Settings > Payments & Cancellations.
- Click Require Prepayment > define your cancellation policy. Your customers will be required to agree to your policy before booking online.
- Click Save.
To enable customer prepayment from the Appointments app:
- Tap Settings > Online Booking.
- Tap Accept Online Payments.

Isn't there another way? I don't want to make my local customers pay in advance or they may not book with me again. They're repeat customers, but want to make sure they're on my schedule for the next visit. I have a combination of in person customers for my services, & those I give services to online. And for those online, my policy is that they pay in advance before our session.

In this case, I would definitely recommend calling in to speak to an Appointments Specialist. They will be your best resource to figure out which option/workaround might be best for your business.
Feel free to reach them via email here, or by giving them a call at [Redacted] (Monday-Friday, 6am-6pm PST) - but you'll also need your customer code. The steps to look up your code are here. Reply in this thread if you need anything else.

Hi, I’m new to Square! When I am trying to set this option up, there is no Save button for requiring payment, as well when I go to online booking to turn on payment, there is no option for that. It doesn’t say Accept online payment. What am I doing wrong!?

Hello @Marie6985m
Thank you for posting in the Seller Community. Welcome.
I would check out my steps above on getting in contact with our teams. Having a specialist that can walk you through our system and looking at your account specifics will be incredibly beneficial.

Hello,
We are a doctor office.
We would like our patients to be able to pay their bills on our website by clicking on a Square button.
We have used Paypal's "pay now" button for the last 15 years, but would like to terminate our paypal.
Can Square generate a "pay now" button, so patients go online and enter the payment amount?
The least that Square could do, is to copy the "donate" button and change the name to "pay now".
Thanks

Hey @US_user and welcome to the Community,
I moved your post to an existing thread where another seller had a similar question.
You may be best suited for Square Appointments with the prepayment option while booking online for your clients to pay there before their appointment.
Our Online Store itself doesn't offer any kind of Pay Now button like this aside from the donations button.

Hey there @Reiki1 ,
If the payment options through Square Appointments isn't meeting your needs, you can simply ask your clients for an email address and invoice them for the item/service in question. They have the option to view the invoice and pay it at their leisure any time prior to your set appointment time.
It's not a button and would require a little extra work on your end, but is an agreeable workaround so long as they have a full understanding of the service you are offering to them.
Be aware if you set up a service as a non-taxable item and add Square Appointments later, those 'items' will also show up as 'services' and create duplicates in your checkout screen. Not certain how that will affect reports, but I suspect those to be duplicated there as well. Small price to pay for the convenience Square Appointments will offer. Something I learned the hard way, I hope this helps!
