On POS Automatic Discount for Entire Sale (as opposed to individual items)

I would like to be able to offer either a percentage or fixed amount discount to an entire sale once sale sub-total reaches a specific amount.  (ie $5 off any sale of $25 or more.)   Not $5.00 off each item, but off the entire purchase.

Thoughts??   Seems like should be simple?

From what I can figure out after doing some tinkering, there's no features or options to automatically do what you have in mind.  Creating a Coupon for the total amount (that deducts the desired amount) would work however, you would have to manually enter the Coupon at checkout.  Since Square is not a one size fits all service, when someone has a specific need or a new idea, submitting the need or idea via the Feature Request link is the way to go.  There's no guarantees but, if there's enough like thinking people who want the same feature, anything is possible.  Personally, I can see where having the ability to have a feature like this would be helpful - it would take a bit of additional logic - something similar to how you can set Discounts that apply to an item when a minimum amount is reached.
