[The title of this thread has been edited from the original: When people purchase an item from my store the wrong card is showing on their email conformation.]
I'm having a few people that purchase from my online store show me that their order confirmation is showing a card that they do not own, but when they check their bank statements it did actually charge their actual cards that they put in.

Thank you @travisnsmith. Google and Apple pay use a different card numbers for security (last 4 on receipts). It's referred to as a virtual card number. You can see this if you/they open the Google Pay app, go to Payment, tap on the card number then scroll to virtual card number.
This is probably the discrepancy they're referring to. Let me know if this resolves your issue! 😊

Hey @travisnsmith!
Thanks for posting in the Seller Community.
Do they happen to be using Google or Apple Pay for these purchases? Let me know, as I think I know what the issue might be! 🤓

Hello @isabelle ,
A customer with Order #1760599281 has used a Visa card ending with 5447 (no Apple or Google pay in this case) but the receipt says Visa 4726. The customer does not own any cards that ends with 4726 and is worried that there is a charge mixup. Wondering if you know of an explanation for this.
Thank you,

Hey @French-Baker.
Thanks for reaching out.
Hmmm. Just to confirm, this was an online transaction processed through your Square Online Store, and they did not pay with Apple or Google Pay?
Please send me a private message with the details of the transaction (date, amount, last 4 of card, zip) so I can locate it and look into this further. Thank you!

Hi! A customer just contacted me after ordering from my online store because the card number and expiration date on her email receipt are incorrect. On my end, I can see the same (incorrect) card number and expiration that she sees on her receipt. However, the charge went through on her card.
Has this happened to anyone else? Any idea why this happened?
Thanks.
