Issues with tap to pay on my android

Is there anyone else having issue with their tap to pay reader on their phone giving back a secure session denial. I've tried reseting my phone and the app and have even went as far as reinstalling the app

I actually found out the reason after some internet searching and talking to fellow merchant. Turns out that the tap to pay option that was rolled out didn't have in the basic startup instructions that developer options had to be off

Writing this reply to bump this answer and to include the following to help with the indexing of this issue.

Square app on my Android phone gave me the error "Tap to pay not available"

I had to disable "Developer Options" on my Android.

Square tap to pay will not work if you have turned on developer options on your Android device.

The help article at
https://squareup.com/help/us/en/article/7960-get-started-with-tap-to-pay-on-android
does mention this, but it should emphasize it better.

Here is how to turn off Developer Options in Android:

It's important to note that most folks do NOT have Developer Options activated, but IF Developer Options are on Square Tap to Pay will not work

 

If you get the "Tap to Pay not available" error, you should try to solve the error and turn off developer options on Android.

How do you shut off developer options?

Android is go to setting and depending on the device, it can be at the top of the list or bottom and look for a menu called developer options

I too cannot get the Tap To Pay feature installed. I have an LG Stylo 6 and it is in the compatible list but there is no "Developer Options" in the settings. I have the tap to pay feature turned on for my phone but cannot finish the setup.
