I cannot edit pricing on the virtual terminal during the transaction details page

Can someone help.  I need to edit the pricing on the virtual terminal in the transaction details page while I am ringing up a customer.  There is no adjust pricing on that page.  It does however have it on the Iphone Retail App.  I can adjust pricing real time on the app.  I need to know how everyone is doing it.  Also variation may not help, since it forces me to create a variation of the same product but asks for how much inventory for the variation.  Hence, it will not reflect my true inventory since the system will assume I have double inventory.
