How much memory needed on tablet to run Square

I'm in the process of choosing an Android tablet so I can use Square to run credit card payments. I'm planning on using a wifi tablet (with no data plan). How many GB of RAM/memory are needed on a tablet to run Square well and not too slow? 

One wifi device I'm considering has 1.5 GB of RAM; I'm not sure if that's enough.

There isn't any hardware requirements for the app on Android. (According to the Google Play store)  Any current device should run it with no problem.
