Exploring a commision based biz
You can split payment between cash, credit cards, checks etc. multiple credit cards is fine too.
But, you can't use direct transfer from bank accounts, it has to be a check, credit card or other payment (like a gift card), there are no direct bank transfers.

Anybody else finding most of these replies to be lame and not understanding the point, or is it just me?!!! I can't find a direct answer to any question on this forum!!!
What more information are you looking for?
only other thing I can think they might be asking is if square can split the daily deposit to multiple accounts. If that was the question then the answer is no. Square will deposit daily into the account associated with the Square account.
Appreciate you helping out here, @VanKalkerFarms. 💯
Hey @shunilb, thanks for taking the time to reach out — if there's anything we can have a closer look at for you, please feel free to reply here or, if this is account-specific, get in touch with our Support Team directly.

I am wondering if it is possible to split up daily deposits into two accounts...in an effort to help me remember to save for tax purposes?
currently, it is not possible to automatically split the deposit. you can set up a transfer within your bank to move money between accounts.
From what I've researched and contacted the devs about, you cannot. I'm a developer that runs a website that other business sign up for. Instead of billing them with an invoice every month, I use stripe to pull off an "order processing fee" (my commission) and deposit the remainder amount, less fees into their account. I'd love to switch to square and was told they are working on that, but it's not available yet.
How come we don’t have the option for our customers to pay for services/items with multiple payments? Example: pay part with cash and pay finishing with credit card on same ticket. Or allow them to pay with two cards by allowing us to enter amount paid one one card check out with that card and then show the outstanding balance and allow them to finish paying with the other card bc I know you can run two cards at the same time. Just would be so helpful for the books to allow the customer to keep the same ticket and show on receipt how they paid for the items/ services with out having to do custom item. In case you need to go back in profile and see what they bought in past.
Split payments can be done with Square's POS. Steps found in the link included.

Hi. I run a film studio and on different days we'll have different videographers that need to be paid. All I want to do is have a customer swipe once and have the payment pay 3 different accounts in different amounts. Is this possible?

Hi @LAFK,
Welcome to The Seller Community. Happy to assist!
That is not possible, you cannot have more than one bank account tied to a single Square account right now.
A workaround for having multiple bank accounts linked is creating multiple locations under the main account. She location would technically be a different videographer. And you can link their bank account to each corresponding location.
But you will have to split up the payments. This only resolves the issue of being able to deposit into each videogrpahers bank account. There is no workaround to have the customer pay once and the funds go into multiple bank accounts.
I hope that makes sense, if not or you need further help let me know.
I have a similar question. I have set up multiple locations (with their respective bank accounts) in the Banking Details area, but I cannot see where the bank Transfers will allow more than one location for online checkout sales? We have two different activities that sell online items through our site. I have each as a separate location, but I only see one location being used as "primary" location to determine the transfers for Online Checkout. Am I missing a setting somewhere? Adding the location to the Online Item does not make a difference as all transfers go to a single location bank account.
Thanks, JB

Hey there, @julespdx -
Welcome to the Community.
You won't be able to set up separate bank accounts under the same location on your Square account. The only option would be to set up each location with its own bank account.
This would be done in your Dashboard under each location separately. Go to Account & Setting > Account > Bank Accounts.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
