Custom Report Net Sales not correct

The custom report that I created has gross sales, net sales and taxes however the gross sales and net sales are showing as the same amount.  I have deleted report and created new and still get the same results.  I can provide a copy of the report if that helps.

I just looked at my Reports page not going to the custom report issue yet just trying to figure out your numbers and what should be deducted to equal your Net Sales in Square.

What are you expecting Square to remove from Gross Sales to equal your Net Sales?  Square Removes Discounts, Returns, and a service charge if you have any of those to equal Net sales.  Then Square adds in the Sales tax you collect, Tips you collect if any and Gift Card Sales. Which equals your Total Sales.

That will get you your Net Collected in Cash and Credit Card Sales (Total Sales).  Square then Breaks these payments by Type Cash, CC, Gift Card and Other.  Then Square will Deduct their Processing Fee.  This will give you your actual Net Total of Sales including Sales Tax.

You need to have Sales and Payments together to actually see your Net Sales totals.

You may need to add to your Current Custom Report the Square Payments if you can to get your actual Net after Square Fees total.  Also Yes screen shots would help in the future or if this does not answer your question.
