I have been able to take pre-paid gift cards in the past but I have 4 $25 Visa Vanillas that keep getting declined and manual entry won’t work either. Can anyone help! Cards work fine at stores and what not .

As @VanKalkerFarms said, yes you can take any type of prepaid card provided there's a Visa or Mastercard logo on it.
However, the prepaid card may be declined if the transaction total is close to the dollar amount on the card. The logic behind that is due to the potential of tips being added after the authorization. When Square processes a card, it may ask the provider if there is enough to cover the total plus a tip. If that amount puts the card over its limit, it will decline the whole transaction.
There shouldn't be a reason for declining the card if your business doesn't accept tips and the dollar amount is under the amount on the card, but if the card does decline, it's because of a preauth limit.
Hope this helps!
