Feature Request: Ability to view open tickets on the Square Dashboard

I would like to be able to monitor open tickets from my Dashboard on my desktop in my office, is there a way to add this to my dashboard or view open tickets from here?

As of right now, there isn't a way to create or view open tickets in the Square Dashboard. 

 

I went ahead and merged your post with the master thread for this feature request. We'll make sure to update this thread if we hear anything about an open tickets and Square Dashboard integration. 

This is a critical issue for us.  I'm voting for this feature be added as an option to be added to the dashboard.  The majority of our transactions are placed in advance.  We'd like to be able to put them directly into our system when they occur not having to double enter it into the iPad in our retail store.  

 

I've looked into purchasing an iPad but they are NOT $100 like one person stated in the thread.  The specs required make it necessary purchase a higher end pad ~$350. for us that's about $1,750 cupcakes for us.  You get my drift.  Thanks for considering this new feature.

Yes because I manage my business from my desktop or laptop.  At night when the bar is still open I would like to know how many customers still have open tabs.  It would allow me to know if I need to bring in additional help. I would also like to be able to address walk off's without going to my pos terminal.  

We could really use this feature.

 

We are a photography business at a ski resort. Many of our customers don't cary wallets with them when skiing for obvious reasons. We want to ensure the sale, so we ring it up and save the ticket. We do offer an invoice they can pay when they get back to their hotel, but not everyone is savvy enough to understand that.

 

Especially for a printed photo, we should be printing it and have it ready for pickup when the customer returns.

If it's busy and the person taking the order forgets to tell the printer there's an open ticket, the customer returns to pay and then has to wait for us to print it.

 

It would be ideal if open tickets populated in the transactions list, marked as open. 

I understand that the system is set up only to show completed transactions, but even if it was on a different page, that would help.

Thank you guys for all this feedback, just popping in to say at this moment this is not something on the Product Team roadmap to be implemented. If anything changes we will make sure to update this thread. Thank you guys again so much for your input! 

 

This is a major functionality miss.  You should be able to complete any tasks necessary on thee Dashboard as an owner.  There are many times during a normal week I need to access or check on open tabs to make sure adequate inventory is moved to the location where the POS device is.  It's not practical to carry a laptop and an ipad or terminal with me.

 

No idea why management at Square hasn't fast-tracked this.

I've been asking for this for 3 years.  Ditto on your point.  We too need it to make sure we have inventory in stock to take more orders.  We are double posting orders to paper then transfer them to the ticket.  Please push this to the top of the development team.  We could be much more efficant which turns into more $ for all.

Is there a solution for this? I'd like to view open tickets (Square for Restaurants) from a mobile device, laptop, etc. 

Was just checking in on this request. I see that as of November 2022 this isn't going to be done. Is there anyway to change that decision i.e. make Square change their mind and pursue this request?
