Discounts For Select Items

Discounts For Select Items

Hi, I have currently made discounts for my POS that would be used for when a customer has a coupon (e.g., buy one get one free). I noticed there are some automatic ways of doing this. However, I do NOT want it to automatically apply to every time a person purchases an item that they get a free one. It should only be applied when they have a coupon. I noticed you can manually put the discount on the order but this applied to all items in the order. This is also very annoying for when I have a coupon (e.g., one free small drink). This is a $3.99 discount for a single item. Why is it required that dollar discounts (i.e. not percent discounts) must applied to the whole order? This doesn't make any sense. Also, why do we have condition discounts (which are perfect for buy one get one), but you can only apply them automatically?? It would be beneficial to have the same conditional discounts that can be manually applied to an order. So if someone orders a large drink, they can get a free large, medium, or small drink. This would make it so that it isn't EVERYTIME a customer orders a large they get a large drink free, but if they have a physical coupon, they can have that manually applied to the order, only for specific items (not all items).

Hey @DrSno,

Thank you for reaching out with your feedback regarding our POS discount system.

We understand the importance of flexibility in applying discounts, especially for promotions like "buy one get one free" with physical coupons. Your insights are valuable, and we are actively exploring options to enhance manual application of dollar discounts, ensuring they apply to specific items, not the entire order.

Since this particular feature isn’t currently available on our platform, I have updated the status to “Open”. Thank you for your patience.
