Just wondering if the QR code works for self seevice take away only? Since my business doesnt have sitting are and only take away.
What i want to do:
-customer order through QR code (maybe enter cust name?)
- the order is printed throught kitchen printer
- once ready, i want us to be able to see the order number on printed kitchen's paper
- call the customer based on order number.
Is this possible through QR code self order?
I have read around but it pretty much only mention about dine in QR code self order (scan table number / enter table number).

Hey xeenth,
I think the square QR codes are more directed to table service.
If you already have a square website I would suggest creating your own QR code through any free website such as www.qr.io or download an app.
Just remember a QR code just saves people from typing in your web address.
I would recommend the square online website as it directly integrates with you POS and orders appear in your order manager and can set them to print out automatically. When you change the status to ready the customers receive a sms.
Hope this helps, let me know if you need any further assistance.
Cheers
Chris

Would you be interested in a directly integrated platform that does this and provides a free text message to the customer to alert them that their order is ready? Feel free to message me if youd like any more information!

Hi @GrayzaCafe
I am keen on it. I have contacted square support but they said they haven't implemented it yet. Can you please tell me more about it?

Thanks @dimo10 .
I have seen your website and tried to order something from it.
Please just ignore my order since it's only for testing.
I believe this is a good suggestion until square comes up with better feature.
Cheers!
