sorry your order didn't go through

I setup an event however,  when someone attempt to pay for the event they get sorry your order didn't go through please try again.  I am new to square and this is the first event I have attempted.  I have setup a QR code and shortcut for users.

@ljrglass  Unfortunately no. But you can run a test transaction for $1 and refund it if you want. You'll still get the cc transaction fees, but it's relatively minimal. Plus, personally I prefer taking a little fee to ensure my site works versus losing a big sale.

Hey @ljrglass

As ryanwanner mentioned, it does sound like the card was declined. If declined, we would not have further insight into that. The customer would need to contact their bank and try another card.

Hello @ljrglass !

I'm not familiar with that error message. Part of me is wondering if their card declined. With online orders, if the customer doesn't have the correct billing zip code it will decline the card.

Have you tried to run a test order yourself to see if it goes through? I definitely recommend giving that a try.

Is there a way to do that  without actually incurring a charge and paying the fee?

Thanks,  Square confirmed that I had created it correctly(it was my first event),  and could run a transaction.  I was also able to run a transaction.  So I think this is on the end user,  not me.

I have the same problem but I'm using my credit card to pay for a subscription from my own site and its giving me the "sorry your order didnt go through".  Do we have any updates or suggestions?
