payment on sq app was terminated, said it wasn't completed. did every thing like always. card ran th

payment on sq app was terminated, said it wasn't completed. did every thing like always. card ran thru and got person to sign and completed like always. when I got the message it said time has elasped and payment was terminated.person was no longer there to redo transaction. Lost a $33.00 payment. Why ???

We are sorry to hear this happened with your transaction. Typically when a transaction says,"time has elapsed", it means that the transaction timed out before the payment was able to fully go through. It can be really frustrating when this happens but like all systems there are hiccups at times. It’s hard to say exactly why this could have occurred as there could be multiple reasons. However, this should not be consistently happening, if it is, please give us a call to look into your account further. 

 

You can also find more details on your Transaction Status report located in your Square Online Dashboard. This report gives you information about any unprocessed transactions, including declined and canceled transactions and expired Offline Mode. Hope this helped a bit.
