Why doesn't square charge city sales tax automatically on online purchases?
When I signed up for square online and tried to sell an item I noticed that square only included the state tax, not my city taxes. My physical store sales always have the city tax automatically included by square. I'm confused. Do cities not collect tax from online sales? (I'm a clothing vendor. I don't know if that makes any difference. I'm in Bellingham, Washington State)

Sounds like you have your settings set to auto calculate taxes. When enabled, any applicable local taxes are applied and grouped in with the State total.
Note, the tax settings in POS don't sync over to your Online Store. @ErosAndPsyche
