What are the best solutions to having current social media network icons and links visible on your website? With the update from Twitter to X but keeping current and competitive with other website creators, this would be a great icon addition to that space. I'm hoping to have other patforms like TikTok, Threads, and now Bluesky as initial starting social media icons. Thanks!

Hey @aknueven,
Great question!
Adding social media icons and links is an excellent way to keep your website connected to your audience. You can easily add icons for popular platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter (now X), and more by following the steps in this support article.
You can add social icons to your footer from your Square Dashboard.
-
Sign in to your Square Dashboard and go to Sales channels > Online > Website > Edit site.
-
Select your footer section.
-
In the editing panel, toggle on Social icons.
-
Choose a color scheme for your icons.
-
From the list of networks, select which ones you want to display on your site.
-
Add your profile usernames by selecting Edit. You must add your usernames for the icons to display on your footer.
-
Select Done and publish your site to see the changes live.
For newer platforms like Threads or Bluesky, while they may not be available as preset options, you can try out @rtfulk workaround above.
While this workaround helps for now, I agree that adding preset options for newer platforms would be a valuable update. I encourage you to share this idea on our Ideate Board to let our Product Team know!
Let us know if you need help setting this up!

@aknueven Welcome to the community. This is how I added social media icons to my website. It's not the best solution, but it works.
Go to the online editor and click on the Add Section, then select Text and Image. Then scroll down to customize and in Layout select the second row, second layout design. Then scroll to the bottom and select Columns on desktop and select 4. See photo below.
After that you can start adding your social media icons and links.
Click on each image and upload your icons and add the link below. See Photo below.
When you get finished it will look like this.
I place mine right above the footer. Like I said it's not the best solution, but it puts the link on your page.
Korie's Kloset
Korie's Kloset Facebook
Korie's Kloset X
Korie's Kloset TikTok
Korie's Kloset Instagram
Big Bows & Sassy Clothes
Thanks @rtfulk! This is a great workaround suggestion, I'll explore this in the meantime. Hopefully a broader range of social media platform icons will be available for everyone soon. Thanks again also for taking the time to share all the details and screenshots too.
You’re welcome! That’s what makes this community great—someone has experienced the same problem or thought and is happy to share their solution.
