Timezone incorrectly being used to calculate local scheduled pickup times.

When a customer from another timezone uses our store to place a scheduled order, the order time is different than what they selected.

Our customer from another timezone ordered something for someone local to be picked at 2:30 PM. They got an email saying it was scheduled for 8:30 AM. I got my copy of their email and it says 11:30 AM. The Orders page shows 8:30 AM.

When at customer picks a scheduled time from our website, timezone should have nothing to do with it. There should be no calculation, as they of course are selecting the actual local time the want the order picked up. Where they are currently placing the order should have nothing to do with it.

Hi @SugarBakery,

Thanks for posting and happy to look into this for you.

In order to make sure i'm understanding, what website builder did you use to create your site (Wix, Weebly, GoDaddy, WooCommerce etc.)? Also, can you provide the URL to your website/page? Thank you!

Please let me know by replying in this thread. I'll keep an eye out for your response.

@SugarBakery It sounds like the buyer-facing side is using the customer’s IP to show them times localized in their timezone, but the actual order itself that is created for the store owner is using the timezone of the store owner.

I would suggest contacting support on this so that they can see if there is anything engineering can do to fix this.
