Hi! I'm a bakery, and I sell pies during thanksgiving week only. How do i set up an item that folks can order now and pick up during that week (and not before)?

What a great question! You can Manage your Online orders directly from your Square Online Store. Here you can create a pick up schedule that your customers can choose from.

Hi - I have an online store and i have regular pick up days on Fridays and Saturdays. However, for the week of Thanksgiving, I want folks to pick up on Wednesday and Thrusday.
If i create a thanksgiving pickup item now and put it in my store, it only makes it available on Fridays and Saturdays, and it makes it available on ANY friday and saturday, not just the week of thanksgiving.
How do I make an item ONLY available on Nov 25 and 26?

Got it! The best workaround for what you would like to do is to update your store hours/schedule as you get closer to the date or add a disclaimer on the item confirming the exact dates the item will be available.
Making items available on the exact date (Nov 25 and 26) is not possible, this is a feature request.

As you know, customers don't really read disclaimers so that just creates a lot of extra work as I have to contact them and adjust their orders/ etc.
Too bad Square won't work for this.
We need this feature too. We have the online store set up for our food trailer, which works well for weekly sales. But when we sold a special Thanksgiving meal it caused all kinds of confusion for folks not reading the instructions and worried that they were supposed to pick up their order that day or the next - and not on the designated pickup day. If we could set individual items to have their own pickup time, it would solve this problem. As it is, I now have other holiday food items I'd like to sell and I'm wondering if I'm going to have to set up another store that doesn't use the food and beverage features. I've wasted countless hours trying to figure out the best way to do this.

This feature is vital for the adaptability of my business. We are a bakery now offering savory items 1x per week. I need to place a day on the item so it is only available for preorder any day of the week for pick up on Friday. Can you help??

I realize this thread is pretty old, but if the e-commerce team really does look at the seller feedback, this ability is also vital for our coffee shop. We sell pies, cinnamon rolls, and more that have deadlines to order and specific dates for pick up (not just ongoing days of the week). This is a big seller around the holidays and we could probably do more if we could streamline it better through our square pos. Customers do not read (I don't blame them). Dear Square - please consider adding this ability in future upgrades!

Since this isn't available at the moment for the Online Stores, I do have a workaround you could try. If you add an item as an event instead of as an item.
Changing it to the event will allow the start and end date to be used for when it's available.
