Hi, I hope this is the correct channel for this
My organization will have a three day event next year. The space we will use is limited to 85 people. We will have people that will register for any one of the days and those that register for all three days.
I know that I can create items that have a max number in stock but we will have the situation in which, for example, on day 1 there could be a mix of single day and full-event registrations. Is there a way to structure this?
Cheers

Hi there @ciaaikido! Welcome to the Community! 😊
While there are some limitations, you could create a Square Appointments Online Booking Page for your website and utilize the Class Bookings feature to achieve this.
Here’s how it could work:
- Create a Free Square Appointments Online Booking Page: Instructions can be found here.
- Navigate to the Appointments Calendar: From your online Square Dashboard, go to Payments > Appointments > Calendar.
- Create a Class: Click the Create button or directly select a time slot on the calendar.
- Select Event Type: Choose Class from the Event Type dropdown.
- Enter Class Details: Click the Class name and select + Add new class.
- Fill in Class Information: Enter the class name, category, description, price (per day), and any applicable taxes.
- Set Class Schedule: Under Class schedule, enter the Start Date (i.e. Day 1) and start/end time
(e.g., 13 September 2025, 9 AM-5 PM). - Set Repetition: Next to Repeats, click Set repetition and toggle on Repeat class schedule.
- For the Repeat every settings, you’ll want the following setup:
- For Interval, enter 1.
- For Frequency, select Day.
- For Ends, select After no. of classes.
- For Number of classes, enter 3.
- Click Save. - In the Spots available box, type 85 to limit the spots per day.
- Click Save.
All three days of the event will now be available to book online with a maximum of 85 attendees per day.
Here's how it'd look in the Square Appointments Calendar:
Some things to consider:
- Using the Class Bookings feature does require a Square Appointments Plus or Premium subscription.
- Attendees booking online will need to book each day separately.
- You can manually add attendees to the events via the Appointments Calendar, but each attendee must be added to each day separately.
- Pricing should be consistent for all three days, as bundle pricing isn’t supported in this setup. Alternatively, you could set the price to $0 and manually handle payments.
I hope this helps! If you have any other questions please let me know. 😊

Hey @ciaaikido. So, since inventory in Square is currently restricted to the item- or variation- levels, I can not think of a way to do what you are wanting to do. While there is a new beta that is extending inventory to the modifier/ingredient level, it is currently restricted to the F&B industry — who obviously need it most. I did work through about 6 scenarios for possible workarounds, but each one of those ended up in the same place — slightly short of your desired goal.
You might find some luck with third-party event management software that integrates with your Square account, though. Head over to the Square App Marketplace and do some searches there. You might have to contact any of those that look promising, if their websites don’t tell you what you need to know.
Best of luck.
If my answer resolves your issue, please take a minute to mark it as Best Answer. That helps people who find this thread in the future.
