I would like to see a feature on square.

I would like to sell downloadable digital files, where an automated email goes out with the file link right after check out. I would be able to have one more way to have sales in my business. I am a hypnotist and don't have a way to sell digital files through my website. I don’t know how to sell digital files through square.

I would also like to add that having an automatic digital delivery system is a must have. You need to implement this feature ASAP. Other similar services are already offering this feature. Not having it has been hurting my business.

Another +1 for this request.

We came from Etsy to Square Online with our physical items. Now that we're branching into digital goods, we're dismayed to find out that there's no way to have them automatically delivered. We don't want to switch back to Etsy but, for our digital goods, we might have to. :'(

I agree, I keep reaching out to no answer or updates. I sell digital music, photos and digital assets that I create for commercials and TV advertisers as well as web design. I have found a work around for this.

I created my own website (I am a developer & programmer in html and css) mainly with WordPress and Joomla and I decided to create my online store and add my music, images etc. to the backend on a private secure page. When a customer buys a digital good it sends me a text message and then I use a push, redirect command to allow the page to load for the customer to download the item. The only issue is it can only do 1 item at a time, so customers have to keep buying separately.

The Square buy link or button would allows the customer to complete the sale while the redirect allows the download (only on my backend) not with Sqaure where the digital goods should be.

I know digital goods can take up size, space depending on what you use and then the fee's etc. however in today's market they need to have this!

I would love to have Square allow us to upload music and digital goods to their items section where a download link is to be used and then the customer simply downloads it and they are all set.

There is so much to be made with digital goods and Square up need to really rethink their options on this one!

I understand your frustration not having an update here yet. Unfortunately, we're not able to share timelines of when we're expecting new features to be released, but we post updates in the seller community as soon as we have news. We do have a Beta Program where we recruit sellers to test features ahead of time. Join here if you haven't already.

I am going to have to use another platform if I can't find a 3rd party extension on something to automatically send the ile. I sell on Etsy right now and it's so nice that once its uploaded to the listing, you dont have to send it out ever again. I would REALLLY like to see that on square. +1 for the feature!
