Online store new item not showing up

I have an online store with 1 item that has been working fine. I needed to add a new item, so I copied the existing item and basically just changed the name and the dollar amount. I saved it and refreshed my browser page. The new item did not show up.  When I go back in to edit the item, the "visibility" field says "unavailable".  I try to change this and save it and it keeps going back to "unavailable".  Any ideas?

After much tinkering, I figured it out.

Now the item that I deleted is showing up on my online website, but I can't find it on my dashboard. How do I see deleted items so I can mark it hidden?
