Hi Everyone, I have found the shipping options with Square E commerce to be very weak as compared to other vendors. I see many posts about what I am going to discuss and little in the way of Square making any changes.
We have a very small operation selling steel artwork online and POS. Shipping costs have been an issue from day one, the live rates (only available in the highest level of subscription) are not possible at our level of business. The decision by Square to only offer live rate shipping if you pay the highest subscription rate seems discriminatory against small businesses like ours. This leads us to building the shipping costs into our products and offering "free" shipping. That's all fine and dandy unless you also offer free local pickup and then we run into this issue of the shipping costs built into our products and basically overcharging the local pickup customer from the built in shipping costs of the item. What are some of the solutions you may have found to overcome this issue?
