Minimum order qty by items

Hi,

I have a retail store and online. I need to have this system done in 24 hour and don't wanted to make a request for it which it been going on for 4 years now. You should have it like 5 years ago like hello it 2022 not 2012. 

I have handmade soap that my customers love but only get it in store in the tourism city. My customers doesn't want to travel but order it online. The problem is the mini. order item. Selling 1 bar soap online which is $5 but charge $8 on shipping is downright stupid. I need the soap on minimum order of three or more to have it shipped to them. No I will not do "Soap (name) qty 3 $15.00" what you will say. It will force my custom buy three of the same kind instead of different kind. To have it in red for online order in the choice *Minimum of your order to shipped is 3 qty otherwise will need to buy our in-store only.  It very easy to add this system in the online in 24 hours or less. If you can't do the deadline, then I'll go elsewhere not for online, POS as well in my store. 

I saw other post like this having this same problem for years and still not up. It almost 2023 and should have this in 2018 like most have. Once again you have 24 hours to get it up and running. Your deadline is 08/13/2022 at 2:00pm EST.

Hi Jpeck, I totally understand your frustration with elements of the online ecosystem and the time it takes for feature requests to be implemented. Having been in software I wish it was a 24 hour turnaround to implement changes but it's incredibly complex to code and implement changes on a large scale without stuff breaking. I highly recommend submitting a feature request if you haven't already done so. Feature requests and use cases can be submitted here .

One solution could be to add mixed soap options in packs of 3, I know you don't want to add packs of 3 to your site but it's one option, alternatively you could consider putting a banner on each page or a popup saying For shipping, orders must be 3 or more soaps. 

I wish you the best of luck but please keep in mind software can't be changed on a 24 hour timeline and sometimes changes require years of coding/testing in order to ensure that the entire system won't collapse during normal use.

@JPeck I ran across a similar situation years ago when I had a food-serviced component to my business, and needed a rather complex combo meal setup using POS.  I can share the work-around that might work, but first I have a question.  When you say “kinds of soap,” exactly how many different kinds of soap do you have that could be included in this 3-pack?
