Items in my Item Library are missing from Square Online - where are they?

The title of this post has been edited from the original: New Store is missing a full category of my products

 

I'd like to migrate to (publish) the new store, but when I preview it it is missing an entire category. I made the new category and moved some items into it (in my current store) almost 2 weeks ago, but they don't show in the new version. How do I know they will be there if I publish the new store? Who can I talk to about this discrepancy between the current and new store?

There are a few things that will prevent your item from being visible on Square Online - these tips should help get you pointed in the right direction.

 

One thing I've seen that will prevent items in your Square Item Library from showing up in your Online Store is applying a variable price to an item. Because variable-priced items are currently not supported on the Online Store, you'll see this message at the bottom of your Edit Item screen while editing the item in your Square Item Library:

 

 

Another reason items could be missing from your Square Online site is if they are currently listed as Unavailable or Hidden in the Item Library section of your Square Online site. This is what you would see when editing the item within the website editor if your item is not marked as Visible

 

 

If you have multiple locations, you'll want to make sure that the items you want to appear on your Square Online site are made Available at the location synced to your Square Online site. Even if you only have one location, if the item is not Available at your location, you'll see this message when editing your item (you can manage availability by clicking the link to edit the item in your Square Online Overview Page):

This is the message you'll see in your Square Online Dashboard when editing an item:

Within your Square Sync settings, you have the ability to enable or disable the option to Mark newly imported items as “Unavailable” online. If this setting is enabled, your items will not be Visible when you add them to your Item Library:

One more thing you can look into is whether you've set a quantity in the Stock column of the Variations section when editing an item. This can affect whether your item appears on your website:

Welcome back to our Seller Community. Perhaps it can be your fulfillment method that needs to be set up for every item to be available. You can make these edits in your Online Square Store by heading over to Item Library > Click on each Item and scroll down to > Fulfillment > All. Here you can also check if they are available.

My items are not showing in my online store.  They are present in my item library and all are set to visible but not showing when I preview my site or available as selections for the featured items.  I followed Helen's instructions in the other post and they still are not present in my store.

The square online store created for curbside pick up isn't showing certain collections and some have missing items within the collection when the site is published and previewed. Please advise.

Hmm, super odd. Can you try out @Valentina's post above? If everything looks good on that front, reach out to our Ecom Team since you might be running into a bug. They have the tools to scan your site settings and pinpoint the problem.

I just created a new item, but it is not showing up in my online store.  I have checked and it is set to "visible," and there is an inventory amount there.

I find that when items don't show it's because they haven't  been set to a category. Are there still items not showing but are saved as available in your list? If so, check your category (from desktop, not app). If there is no category assigned it doesn't matter how many you have or whether or not marked as visible... took me forever to figure that out. Has nothing to do with syncing either.

Thank you but it’s sorted now. The problem was the items came up as unavailable and couldn’t be added to cart. However it was solved by going to settings  - pickup/delivery. Even though I clicked pick up and delivery for my individual items I didn’t turn on the option in settings. Once on and various details were entered everything was perfect.

I have entered items on my website but it never shows up that I have entered them. I have also entered items on dashboard item page, how do I get these to show up on the website?

Items created from the Square Online dashboard under Items > Item Library will automatically show on the "store" tab on your website. 

 

You can also setup Feature Items to display specific items on different pages throughout the site. 

 

If you are still having trouble setting this up, please reach out to our support team so they can verify your account is setup to properly sync to your Square account.

If you have multiple locations set up within your Square account, you'll want to make sure that the items you want to appear on your online store are made Available at the correct location. It's possible that the items that are not visible are only available at one location, and your online store is syncing with a different location.

 

Within your online store settings, you have the ability to enable or disable the option to Mark newly imported items as “unavailable” online. If this setting is enabled, your items will not be Visible when you import them - you'll need to individually make them Available.

 

This one is less likely to be the root cause here, but worth mentioning, just in case! Categories created in Square will not import to your online store. I'd recommend using this as opportunity to set up different categories and subcategories that would be more helpful for your customers to see than what you have set up for your staff. For example, you can create categories for your online store like Sale, Special Deals, Most Popular, etc.

I've tried everything, everything i can think of is turned on. Everything visible, google for payments is on, I even added a stock number and tracking still not working 

I've unpublished and republished still nothing. please help

@lishaa I'm looking at your store and things are showing. I find that when items show as unavailable it's because they haven't  been set to a category. Are there still items not showing as available?
