How does my customer enter a coupon code on square online?
I've set up a coupon code for customers to use, but when I look at the customer side of the site there is nowhere for them to put the code in. I've gotten all the way to the purchase now screen, and there's no option to put in a coupon code, but the coupon code says it's active.
The only thing the help page says is that online coupon codes are moving in 2024 and more information will be available soon, but no information.
The only other information I can find is at least a couple of years old and no longer helpful.
Hopefully, someone can help me figure this out.

If you don't mind sharing the URL to your website, that would be helpful for others here to take a look. Most people here are small business owners who volunteer to help out with Square's Apps and Hardware where we can however, we are not the same as Tech or Customer Support. Sometimes we can easily figure things out however, if not, then your next option is to contact Support.

My shop is: https://beady-bits-and-custom-creations.square.site/
Unfortunately, I can't find a box to enter a coupon code or a way to toggle the coupon code box on and off. Even when I send the link from the coupon the discount is still not showing up. https://beady-bits-and-custom-creations.square.site?cc=FRIENDSNFAMILY20

@Beady-bits hmmmmm… I see what you mean.
The only thing I can think of is that it looks like you have a site wide grand opening special discount automatically adding to the cart. I wonder if this auto discount is preventing other discounts from being available. I’d say try turning off that auto discount and see if the option is there.

Hi there @Beady-bits!
I’ve just added an item to the cart on your website, and I’m now able to see the Add Coupon or gift card box on the cart page.
Just wondering whether turning off your automatic discount as ryanwanner mentioned resolved the issue for you, or if you’ve made any other changes which made the coupon code box appear?
If you’ve found a solution and have any tips to share, we’d love to hear them. Your insights may help other Sellers who come across this thread in the future. 🙂

Hello @Beady-bits !
The coupon entry box is on the cart verification screen before payment entry:
This is true for both the Shop All and Order Online templates available for your Square sites.
I can't find a way to enable or disable the coupon box in my online settings, so if it isn't showing on your site I recommend calling into support so they can dig deeper.
A word of warning: the coupon code box is case sensitive. FREESTUFF is different than FreeStuff. Be sure you're clear on that in your advertising of the coupon.
