How do i add shipping and taxes to my online orders?

I just got my first online order. It didn’t have any taxes or shipping fees on it. How do I fix this?

Unfortunately you cannot change any transaction details after it's been processed, meaning you won't be able to add tax and shipping.   You can either refund the order or handle as is for now.  Since the volunteers here cannot access user Accounts to see what you have setup or may have missed, all we can do is provide some links for setting up your shipping and taxes.  Customer Support can look at your settings or help walk you through setting up a shipping profile and your tax settings.

The other thing to look into is depending on where the Customer is or where the item is being shipped you may not be required to collect Taxes and this is placed on the consumer.  You would need to check with your accountant or with local state laws on how to handle these taxes.  When I ship with in my State, taxes are required, but once I ship out of state we do not collect a sales tax.  Some states require you to collect Sales tax no matter where the item is shipped.  Again this is based on your Local and State Laws for collecting taxes.  Which comes back to asking a Tax professional to keep everything legal.

What Keith said, re: taxes. Check with your state BOE first. For in-person sales-- I include the tax in the price (even dollar amounts used, so no coins needed for change), then at the end of the day, figure out the taxes owed on the total sales.

re: shipping-- you can use Priority Mail and indicate the shipping cost based on what box is needed, or you'll need to know the size/cost of box you need, and the weight of item + box... and what your shipper (USPS, UPS, Pirate Ship...) charges for that-- then, either indicate that the shipping will be that much or just add it to your price. I generally include it in the price, so people see a total cost right off-- *I* prefer shopping that way, and haven't heard of anybody who prefers to "do the math" to add shipping to a lower price.

Just need to have an option to "combine shipping" of multiple items to the same address for less what shipping individually cost (without-- "email me for a combined invoice with reduced shipping cost").
