Featured Items Displaying Wrong Items

I'm new to square online. Just upgraded to the paid version.

 

I have been using the "Custom Selection" option of the featured items, but I want to use something more dynamic. Custom Selection seems to be the only one working for me.

 

When I choose "Most Popular" it displays items, but most of these are items I've never sold. Now I've only sold a few items in the online store, but I did have an event, where I sold a lot more in person (using the square device and the app on my phone). I would expect the most popular items I sold at that event to be showing in this list.

Recently Viewed, Recently Ordered, and Recommended all show blank. They have the place holder image, "Item" and "$0.00". I tried to save them and preview, but it has no items displayed on my website.

Thank you for your patience while our team took a closer look at your site! I’m happy to provide some further context and clarification around how some of these features work, as well as an update regarding the items appearing as blank under filtered searches.

The "Most Popular" section is populated based on a combination of past orders, items added to cart but not purchased, and page views of items. This helps showcase items that are currently trending among customers. It won't necessarily display only the top-selling item.

The "Recently Viewed," "Recently Ordered," and "Recommended" sections are tailored to each individual customer. These sections will appear blank until a customer starts interacting with your site, as they are personalized to their activity.

Regarding the issue with items not displaying correctly on your site, we’ve initiated a manual re-index and re-sync. This process, along with clearing the store API cache, should resolve the issue within 24 hours. 

Another setting we can get you to double-check, is your location in the Square Dashboard (under Account & Settings > Business Information > Locations. If this is currently set to "Mobile," please change it to "Physical." Having it set to "Mobile" can cause sync issues.

I currently have it set to most popular, as that is showing something, even if it is not correct. Some of the items on the list I've not yet sold one of.
