Error when adding or modifying inventory

Why do I periodically get "you tried to save an outdated version of this object"? Then is wipes out what I did.  I just started my online selling 2 weeks ago and my OS is have windows 11. Uggg!

As I see this is your first post welcome to the sellers community forum.

 

As for the error you are recieving that you tried to save an Outdated version.... Basically whatever you were adding or typing may have timed out on your end for security reasons would be my guess.  Right before pressing SAVE copy the information you typed in, Ctrl - C, Then press Save.  IF you get the error, and see a change paste Ctrl-V in the copied information so you do not have to type it all in again.  I have seen this when I walk out of the room or spend awhile rewriting someting in Square.   So I have been using the above steps to save me time.

Square Inventory has a gremlin that rears its head from time-to-time. I'm not sure why- but sometimes this error pops up, sometimes old inventory appears, sometimes stock counts change. There has never been an explanation for this nor is a constant problem.. it just happens..
