Coupons and recurring or subscription payments

I have created an item and set up a recurring payment so it can be purchased online by anyone (I won't have to choose a client).  If I offer a coupon will it only be applied to the first monthly payment?  Thank you!

At this time, coupons cannot be applied to subscriptions. I recommend reaching out to our E-commerce team, so they can point you in the right direction to meet your business needs.
