Checkout Add Ons

Hello,

I'd like to request a feature to allow add on items at checkout for customers.

We can offer an add on extra charge at check out for insurance on their package. This add on fee at checkout will tell us to add insurance to the package when shipped so if anything were to happen, their package will have guarantee safety. Add on at check out could say, "Insure your package for $". 

I know that Shopify has this feature, so was hoping Square would be able to have this feature soon.

Another use, is to have add ons for gift wrap/box. I know there was a recent roll out of this feature to each individual item. However, this could help solve the issue of having to select each individual item versus, checking one option at checkout. Also, this roll out doesn't help merchants who charge for gift wrapping and doesn't gift wrap individual items. 

Lastly, this would increase sales at checkout by suggesting similar products to what they have in their cart already.

I agree that an "Upsell" feature would be a great addition. I use the online checkout links for service offerings and subscriptions. I'd love to offer other services to clients when they checkout, so this feature would need to integrate with the checkout links rather than the "cart" feature on the Weebly websites.

As a florist, this is something that we need to create more clutter-free product pages. Currently, we work around the "add-on" sales by using modifiers, but we have some modifiers that are needed for the individual item (size/color) and some that are really just an "upsell" option (add bear, candy, etc.) - it would be great to be able to have the upsell in the cart instead of on each item page.

Same here....in fact on a food site, I just want to show the drinks/sides options on the checkout screen in case people just forgot to add them.  This is a common feature with online ordering platforms for sure.

Agreed!  In general, I think that various customization options for the checkout flow would be extremely helpful, and this is one of the most obvious and helpful for many online sellers.

My featured item is a handmade shopping bag, which is only featured on the home page, it would be great if it could remind the customer to purchase one at check out or even an informational spot with a link back to this item

Has this feature been added yet? It would be excellent for so many types of establishments - in my case if a customer is ordering a savory item, a prompt asking if they'd like to add a cookie box or sweet pie for dessert would be so great for business. any update?
