Pre Order Release Date
We sell pre-orders for books which have set release dates. Those release dates are given at the top of the item description.
At present the solution to ensure 'pickup' orders don't advise stock is available when it isn't is to set a custom prep time for the item reflecting how long it will take to arrive. Unfortunately to accurately update the prep time coming closer each day we'd have to log in each day to amend. We also take pre-orders for titles beyond the 12 week prep time so there isn't a way to accurately reflect to customers when items will be available. Could there be an option to use a calendar date to reflect an accurate prep time?
At present, to provide accurate availability info for pickup we seem to need to update the custom prep times on 50 items each day just to reflect the passing of time towards the release date. Or is there an alternative to sell an item with a concrete day of availibility?

I had the same issue and submitted a feature request at the end of January, hopefully soon the feature will arrive as it shouldn’t be too difficult to add to the framework already there.
