Team Permissions for Messaging

Happy Christmas / Holidays everyone!

 

Question about managing my Team Permissions:  I have a "Manager" role which gives my trusted staff access to create invoices, plus full access to view and interact with customers. 

 

The issue I'm having is that my Managers can not see messages sent from customers about their invoices.  My managers can view the same invoices but they don't see the conversation window or get notifications about the messages.

 

I can't find a setting specifically about this; is there somewhere I can turn this option on?

Hello, @Michael_L - We appreciate your time while we took a closer look at this. This is a feature request that's not yet available. Team members that have been added to the account are not able to see invoice messages. Below you can see the only options available for team members and Invoices. I am also not seeing this feature under Messages in the Team Permissions section.

I'm not 100% certain, but I don't think so.  This came to my attention recently when I commented to my studio manager what nice feedback we got and she hadn't seen it, even though she was the one interacting with the client. 

 

She had sent the invoice to the customer originally but couldn't see their comment or the attached question about it.  Those things should be tied together shouldn't they?  We even logged in on her computer and she could look up the invoice but on her screen the comments weren't available.

Yes, I can see the messages - and thankfully not too many people use them.  I'm just the owner though, not the main person doing invoices or communicating about them.  I have this icon in my admin and my book keeper does not.

I will look for that setting though (in the permissions) and see if it works.  Thanks for the lead and for looking in to this.

Update - it looks like they now have that Messages window so we will see if it works when our next client replies to an invoice.  Thanks!
