Square Online customer profiles

Hello. 

When a customer makes a purchase online, does this create an entry in the 'customer' section of the dashboard?

Also, does the customer have an option of creating an account and storing their card details? If so, does this show on the 'card on file' feature?

Hi there @Twiddy . Yes the customer transaction creates a profile in the customers directory. In the profile there is a section to add a credit or debit card.

Save my information for faster checkout is an option the customer can select during checkout, Square Pay allows buyers to save and reuse their payment details when ordering from Square Online. The saved info is linked the email address and mobile number they enter during checkout. They can then access their saved info when ordering next time. They can delete their info at anytime. If they opt for this they get a text and email confirmation on how to access their info for future use/orders. Next time they ordrr they get a prompt to use saved info, a 6 digit code goes to thier mobile, entering the code will autocomplete the rest of the checkout section fields. It's a nifty feature for customers.
