My terminal stays black with the sing in the middle

Hey @Lanjeu,
Welcome to the Community.
It sounds like you may have connected your Square Terminal to the Square Point of Sale System.
Please follow the steps below to disconnect your Square Terminal.
Disconnect Your Square Terminal

On your POS device, tap โก More, then tap Settings > Hardware > Square Termina l.

Tap Disconnect from this device .

Tap Disconnect to confirm. Square Terminal will disconnect from POS automatically.
Note: If the disconnection fails, Square Terminal will continue to display the โPowered by Squareโ screen, and youโll need to manually sign out by swiping from the top-left side of the Square Terminal screen to reveal the menu, then tap Settings > Sign Out . Tap Sign Out again to confirm.
