Square Messages - Turn off or Auto-reply?

Is there a way to turn off Square messages or a way to generate an auto reply with an alternate way to reach out? Occasionally people will reach out with an urgent situation through the messaging but the person who receives the notifications is not available. We don't use this as a way to communicate with customers and do not want to.

If you want to make it easy for people to reach you another way (like by email, phone, or social media), you can add a note in your Square profile or in the message itself.

For example, in your Square Online Store, you can add a custom message to your contact section or FAQ to point people to another way to get in touch.

If you're using Square’s customer support or Square Appointments, there are also options to update how customers can contact you, whether it’s by email, phone, or whatever works best for you. You can update your messaging settings to make it clear where they can reach you if needed!  From what I know they don't have an auto reply option at this time, but it is a great idea.
